How we collect, use and safeguard your information when you use Craggle.

Craggle (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Craggle mobile app and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
1. Information we collect
We collect the following types of information to provide and improve the Service:
- Account information
- When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, and a profile photo.
- Climbing activity
- We store climbing session data you choose to log (e.g. session start/end time, climbs, notes, photos).
- Device and app usage
- We collect anonymised data about how you use the app to help us improve features and performance.
- Apple Health (if enabled)
- If you connect Craggle to Apple Health, we may read or write workout data (e.g. climb duration, heart rate, altitude) with your explicit permission.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide and personalise the Service
- Track and display your climbing history
- Enable social features such as shared sessions or crews
- Improve the app through analytics and feedback
- Sync workouts to Apple Health/Fitness, if enabled
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
3. Data sharing
We may share limited data with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g. cloud hosting, crash reporting)
- Your crew members, if you choose to join or create a climbing group
- Authorities if legally required, such as in response to a lawful request
4. Your privacy choices
You can:
- View and edit your profile
- Delete a session or climb at any time
- Disconnect Apple Health at any time
- Delete your account and data — from inside the app, or by contacting us. See how to delete your account.
5. Security
We use industry-standard encryption and access controls to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.
6. Children’s privacy
Craggle is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you through the app or by email.
